Corporate Directory CUCM 6.1.2 Question

Hi All,

Just wondering if there is any way to append a digit to the start of a looked up number in the CUCM 6.1.2 corporate directory?

We have the cluster doing a LDAP sync to AD, which contains the users phone numbers. The issue is that the numbers in AD have the full 10 digit DID number. So when they are looked up in the corporate directory and you hit dial, they are missing the leading 0 to push them out the PSTN or to a local extension.

Ideally the AD should have the extension number in that field, however this is not the case.

So is there any way to append to the front of the looked up number a 0 so these numbers can be dialed?

On ccm 4.x you could edit the ASP scrips on the machine, however this is different on CUCM 5.x and above.

If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

cheers.

You could run an ASP script from t he CCM SDK on an external IIS server and use it to search your AD. This would allow you to prepend the leading 0 but you would obviously need a separate server.

No idea how to do it on CUCM6 on its own.

Can you create a translation rule for those numbers?

If you extension is 4085551212 and some presses that in the directory, create a translation for 408555xxxx to translate to xxxx and then ring the 4 digit extension?

Not sure if that will work for you, otherwise you will need to update your AD directory and use the IP phone field and then sync CUCM with the IPphone field and displays the correct number on the line if that is the case.
