urgent :same SSID in 4 AP 1240

Unanswered Question

I'm planning on implementing 4 AP's autonomous in my company.I use one ssid, and the possibility

to roam between access points without loosing connection.but

I can see only SSID distributed by AP (A and C)

i move near of AP (B and D) but I think that SSID is hidden

because i find the singal with "Network Stumbler"

A and C:802.11g=ROOT and 802.11a=root bridge

B and D:802.11g=ROOT and 802.11a=non-root bridge

this is my config for A and B

what is the probleme in my config?

reply please.

I have this problem too.

at the time of analysis of the frequencies I found some ap that work

with the same frequency that my APs

I could solve the problem by change of the frequencies thank you for your help

I have a question:

If you are only using one SSID, why do you have 2 of them configured on the AP, one under the dot0 and the other under dot1 interface?

Also, you are right, you should use non-overlapping frequencies when the APs are next to each other. Typically, in dot11.b/g radios, frequencies 1, 6 and 12 are used because they do not overlap.

I use 2 SSID one under dot0 for 802.11b/g

and the other under dot1 for 802.11a

(link point to point between AP A and B)

because i don't have the wired DS therefore I use DS wireless
