Hi,

we are having the cisco catalyst 6506 model switch with one SUP,one Power supply and one Line card

now we planned for rednancy in the above three parts so pls let me know that if we insert the three secondary parts any outage will happen since we dont have any redunant switch

pls let me also know how we can deloy the redunancy interms of hardware for catlyst 6506 switch

Vinoth,

You should not have any downtime adding redundant hardware with the chassis. I would recommend doing this doing this during off peak hours just in case.
