Multilink interface issue

we have terminated 3 E1 on different serial int and clubbed with single Multilink interface. Now the problem we face is if any one of the E1 goes down the traffic gets shared on the other links ,but we don't able to know that there is one of the E1 failiure.Is there any tool or any config method to over come this issue.

As you have a number of individual E1 links (e.g. Serial0/0/0:1, Serial0/0/1:1 etc) you can enable the router to send traps if one of these E1 links is down. E.g. "snmp-server enable traps snmp linkdown" should send traps for each E1 going down.

Actually these serial link are over MPLS and the IP of the serial has not been advertised by us in our OSPF,we are injecting static route into the MPLS.so we cannot enable snmp on the interface for trap.Any other way

It is not required that an interface has an IP address, or is routed, for SNMP to report an interface down. As long as the router has one IP address (a loopback normally) which can be reached by a SNMP manager or poller, the traps will be send, even for an interface without IP address (such as your E1 serial interfaces). SNMP reads our interface (and other) MIBs, and does not rely on tools like a ping to check on interface status. Do you have SNMP enabled on your router?
