Crystal Reports

Hi,

We are planning to use Crystal Reports for the custom reports in our IPCC Express deployment.

Which version of Crystal reports XI should be bought - Developer/professional or Server version and with how many licenses.

Can you please explain the licensing scheme, as to on what basis we decide how many licenses to buy.

Many Thanks.

Because the Historical Reports client already uses Crystal, you don't need separate licensing for them. All you need is the one developer license and you're good to go.

I've only done this on version 4 of IPCCX. With version 4, you used CR 8.5 or 10. No other version worked.

You need the developer edition. It's really the development environment you're after. Once you have the report built, you put the template on the machine running the Historical Reporting client.

Hi Clifford,

Thanks a lot for your inputs.

How about the number of crystal report licenses that we have to buy?

Do we have to buy 1 license for every historical reports client user?

Or is 1 crystal reports license enough irrespective of the number of historical reports client user.

We have 4 users of historical reports clients in our company.

Appreciate your inputs on this.

Many Thanks,

Bala.
