Barcode Scanners

Hi all,

We are looking to scan in MAC address' via the barcode on the box.

Is there a certain sort of barcode reader we need to purchase?

Can anyone recommend one?

Hi Jamie,

This tool is a definite must that's for sure :)

We use the Symbol LS2208 shown @ the link below. This has worked very well for us :)

There are also many others listed in this good link from "The Kid";

I now I'm reviving this topic from several years ago, but I would like to know, if with this barcode scanner you need anything else?

You just scan the barcode and the information goes to excel?

It is a USB right?

I am not sure whether this barcode scanner is what you need, but you can have a try, because it is a free trial package.

I picked up a high quality (ahem) scanner from ebay for about £7, shipped from Hong Kong to the UK... and it worked fine.

I think the encoding is pretty standard.. at least more 'standard' than H323 or SIP :-)
