3750-E with Cisco Enhanced PoE (20mW) for 1250 APs

How many Cisco Aironet 1250 APs running 3x2 at 20mW under Cisco Enhanced PoE are supported on 3750E-48PD? Does it change with 3750E-48PD-F? How about X4648+E blade from 6500?

Where can I find a power calculator for 3750E?

I once had a customer buy 48 Cisco 7970 phones to find the 3560 switch couldn't power them all. Trying to avoid a repeat of that scenario.

Jason,

Here is a link to the Cisco Power Calculator.

The Power Calculator doesn't have a 20mW option for 1250 2x3 operation under Cisco Enhanced Power. I'm wondering if Cisco Enhanced Power might have other caveats.

Sorry, I didn't realize that the 20W option was not available on the power calculator. I found two helpful documents showing that enhanced PoE is available.

You will need the following IOS versions:

3560-E/3750-E: 12.2(44)SE or later.

4500: 12.2(44)SG or later, and an E series linecard.

6500: 12.2(33)SXH2 or later, all PoE line cards.

HTH,

Mark
