IPS 4260

Hi,

I have a IPS 4260 running Version 6.0(5)E2.One of the sensing interface is "UP", but the data is not flowing through. from "show tech-support":

-Missed Packet Percentage = 100

However,the link status is "UP". How is the possible problem, and how i can retify?

Was this a working sensor or is this a new install?

For new sensors, I usualy forget to add the sensing interface to the virtual sensor (I;m not sure that'll give you a 100% missed packet stat though). Try these commands:

conf t

service interface

physical-interfaces gigabitEthernet0/1

admin-state enabled

exit

service analysis-engine

virtual-sensor vs0

physical-interface gigabitEthernet0/1

For existing sensors, a reload can clear up many problems.
