Hello,

wondering if anyone can help ?.

trying to add the following command to my E1 controller on the above router and I get the following error message

CHPFXW01(config-controller)# pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp

% Not enough DSP resources available to configure pri-group on controller E1 0/1/0

% The remaining dsp resources are enough for 0 time slots.

% For current codec complexity, 2 extra dsp(s) are required to create this voice port.

How do I add extra DSP's .....this isnt my field so i am a little lost.

Regards

Scott.

DSPs are hardware resources required for processing voice (digital signal processor). You will need to purchase the DSPs from Cisco and physically add them to the router. I believe you need a single DSP per channel on a voice E-1. Since you are attempting to add 31 channels you will need 31 DSPs.
