Hello Eriakha,

the IOS image is too old for sure.

this because C3660 is declared able to support NM-1GE.

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2797/ps4908/product_data_sheet09186a008010fbd7.html

But yours is a second generation network module

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I have suspected that the IOS is too old for the card. But please how best can I upgrade the IOS? I have attempted to upgrade it sometime ago, but at a stage, it requested for PCMCIA Card; and I dont have it, because I inherited the network, after the former administrator resigned.

Hi,

If you are referring to "NM-1FE2W-V2" or "NM-2FE2W-V2" module then they are supported on 3600 series routers.

However the minimum IOS required for these second generation modules is - 12.2(12)M or 12.2(13)T.

Have a look at the datasheet -http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps259/product_data_sheet09186a00801aa71c.html

You need an IOS upgrade.
