CUCM 6.0.1 - Media Routing through the server

Hi,

I have CUCM 6.0.1.3000-7 and registered two third party SIP device to the Server.

While I am making the call between these two devices, the media (RTP) is flowing end to end, not through CUCM.

I want to route all the media(RTP) through CUCM. How is it possible?

Media is always end to end.......even with the phones. Only the signaling is routed to the CUCM. I doubt there is a way to do this.

CUCM is only a call agent, signaling is stimulus-response. RTP is always between endpoints, that's the whole point of call preservation. if CCM fails, calls are preserved because RTP is between endpoints.

Thanks for your response.

With the SCCP supported devices, does the media is routed through the CUCM ?

no, CUCM does not make media flow-thru

in any protocol

media is between devices. only reason a device sends media to CCM is to use the SW CFB.

if you need that start looking at CUBE
