I am wanting access to our IPS. Its on 172.17.0.11. When i try to access on https://172.17.0.11. it wants a password. How can i access or change the password so i can access this?

SSH to it. If its the initial setup, use cisco/cisco to login and you will be prompted to immediately change it.
If its not the initial setup, you obviously need whatever password is current, then change it via CLI or IDM.

For reference, basic setup:

Password recovery is available here for the sensors. If this is SSM module for the ASA 7.2.1 or lower, you will need to reimage the sensor using the command "hw-module module 1 recover"
