Having trouble getting started. I can get the ip set. Then ping successfully. Open my browser and enter the new address - and get connection interrupted.
I'm low tech - just trying to set up an access point with no security.
How is your AP connected? Is it connected directly to your laptop, or is it on the network? You might need to configure a default-gateway if you're on a different subnet/VLAN as your AP.
My computer and the AP have a 10/100 unmanaged switch in between. My computer provided the ip address (it is the DHCP server). The computer is 172.16.1.243 and the AP is 172.16.1.239.
