CiscoWorks Topology - "Buses"?

Hello

I am using LMS 3.0 with CM 5.0.0

Sometimes, when I display a network topology, I can see a kind of "bus" that connects some of my devices. However, such "bus" doesn't actually exist.

Could anybody tell me what is it?

I attach two screenshots. The first one shows the "bus". The devices that it interconnects are a Cisco 4948 and several Cisco 3020 switches. The links that connect the switches and the "bus" are shown as "Ethernet" in Topology Services.

The second one shows the ideal topology as I think it actually is.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If this really is CM 5.0.0, I think you're seeing CSCsj30072. To rule out this bug, you need to upgrade to CM 5.0.1 or higher (LMS 3.0.1 with CM 5.0.4 is recommended). Afterward, you will need to reinitialize your topology data:

NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/campus/bin/reinitdb.pl

Ok, thank you. I'll try upgrading as soon as I can
