ASA 5510 + CME

Hi there !

I have two branches that, for while, will not be connected to the main office.

But I have a CME in one and I have in main office an ASA5510 that is not being used (so I'll take it to the old branch).

Is it possible to create a IPSec tunnel between those two branches using CME and ASA5510 ?

The objective is to keep people that are moving to the new branch accessing the systems that are in the old branch while servers are not in the new branch (rest of the people will be moved in 6 month)

Thanks.

Andrei.

Andrei,

Yes, this is possible assuming you are running IOS with a feature set capable of VPN. It is not CME that enables VPN functionality, but the IOS on the router. Take a look at the following link for a sample configuration.

Hope this helps.
