Hello everyone,
I have a customer with a remote teleworker need. They have an analog line at a work from home site. they want to put an IP phone there but want the IP phone to use the local analog line for all outbound calls. They want to do something like an 800 series router but want to keep the costs down as this is only for 1 person. Any ideas on how to get that analog line used by the IP phone? LAN to LAN VPN tunnel for the IP phone to connect back to Call Manager. the 881 SRST byndle is to exspensive as is the 1861. Any thought?

I realize it doesn't meet the original intention of using an analog line, but one option would be to replace the analog line with a SIP trunk. I'm not sure of any other way to do this with an 800 series router.
