Can Subinterfaces be deleted?

Hi Everybody?

I've been trying to delete a subinterface I configured on a router but do not know how to do it.

Can someone tell me how to delete a subinterface so that only the physical interface will remain.

It is a pain but on some routers the only way is to reload the router which clears it out.

It doesn't do any harm being there but it is annoying.

You simply do "no inter serial0/0.100" for instance. The interface will still be seen if you do a "show ip int brief" but will be marked for deletion and removed at the next router reload.
