Repackezation

Hi, I got problem, I have connection to two providers, there are connected to me by 3825 gateways with dsp, but they want different packetization (sample size) of g711 (one need 10ms-80bytes packets and another need 20ms-160bytes packets) but on CCM its possible to adjust this parameter just globaly - either 10ms or 20ms. Is there a chance that one GW would do some trancoding repacketization from one sample size to another? How to configure it? Thanks a lot.

you will need MTP resources to perform the packet change

Re-Packetization of a Stream

An MTP can be used to transcode G.711 a-law audio packets to G.711 mu-law packets and vice versa, or it can be used to bridge two connections that utilize different packetization periods (different sample sizes). Note that re-packetization requires DSP resources in a Cisco IOS MTP.
