I am running MST01 on my network.all the GIG ports are getting connected to leaf switches like 3560 and 4948.when I do the command
"show spanning-tree mst 1 detail" I see that BPDU received on port 3/44 is very high than any other ports .Iam doign this command on the root bridge .
what could be cuasing these BPDU recieve to go high on the root bridge

Hello Ajai,
it looks like out that port there is a device that doesn't agree on the root bridge id.
verify the MST region config on the device because if a parameter is mismatching both devices think to be in different regions
OR the device is root bridge for one MST instance
Hope to help

Hello Ajai,
MST configuration includes other parameters that I don't see here.
the region name and the revision number for example have to match.
see
you can also have a look at access switch log with sh log and see if there are STP events
Hope to help
Giuseppe
