Support for Video

Hello,

I am working on a design for my organization for streaming evening board meetings across the IP network to the community. Can anyone share what is the best practice for this need and what solutions does Cisco or (third-party) offer that will fit.

I have available fiber that I will use to route the video traffic from the board room to the core, I would like to use QoS at the core and firewall to prioritize traffic, but do not think that my core (cat4006) and firewall (PIX515) will support. What routers/switches at the access/core would be best and be scalable.

You can use to upgrade core to 6500 and the pix to a ASA 5000. This will support Video.

The solutions offered are video telephony, Telepresence, or Webex.

A better option for streaming video out to end users may be Cisco Digital Media System (DMS) with the Live Event Module. Here is a link to the product page:
