I have 10 users in an office who uses 7941 phones. we have CME 4.1. The first line is a shared line and all have ext 100. The second line is given separate extension for each individual so that they can make internal calls as well do transfer. Now i enabled voice mail through CUE 3.1 for each user with primary Ext has there second line. now when i press MSG button i hear nothing. Not even a busy tone. Config wise is correct as i have deployed same network WITHOUT shared line in other locations successfully. So is this shared line creating a problem for Voice Mail?

Hi Abdul,
It is a Cisco "best practice" to always install shared lines on any button other than Line 1. Can you please try changing one of the 7941's so that Ext 100 is on Line 2 and the Primary Line is on Line 1 just to test. This recommendation helps with CFWD, MWI and the Auto Pickup associated with Line 1.
Hope this helps!
