I am an engineer and see strange patterns on my Mazu monitor as well as my Cisco ips. My Ips is alerting to a what the log says is hoptopt protocol port 0. The destination is 0.0.0.0 . I have it coming from multiple sources. I only am running ipv4 on my routers. I have read this is ipv6. Will this cause errors or buffering issues. Is it recommended yet to upgrade to an OS that understands ipv6. Any info on hopopt or mitigation would be appreciated. Thanks in adavance.

It is good to upgrade to an OS that understands ipv6.IPv6 hop-by-hop option called the Jumbo Payload option, that carries a 32-bit length field in order to allow transmission of IPv6 packets with payloads between 65,536 and 4,294,967,295 octets in length. Packets with such long payloads are referred to as "jumbograms".
