"1" Lost Carrier error on multiple ports

What would cause a Lost Carrier error? We've got 2 4506s that are showing 1 lost carrier on most of the ports.

Just want to determine if this is something that should be investigated further or can be ignored.

Thanks.

I found CSCee96038 has similar symptom of what you described. You have to verify linecards matched to your module or not,

You reload the switch recently? If the CRC error incremented right at boot up then he most likely hit CSCee96038. Upgrade to 12.2(25)EW and higher or 12.2(18)EW3 should help.

If you got any below error message.

%PQUICC-1-LOSTCARR: Unit [dec], lost carrier. Transceiver problem

The Ethernet 10BASE-T cable is unplugged.

Recommended Action: Reconnect the 10BASE-T Ethernet cable.
