Hi!

I'm trying to connect to my ASA but i always get this error:

"ASDM is unable to read the configuration from the ASA. Please check the configuration and your connection and then try again by clicking the Refresh icon."

This only appears after I do the login in Java application.

This is from my "show running-config":

asdm image disk0:/asdm-507.bin

http server enable

ssh my.ip.from.outside 255.255.255.255 outside

http my.ip.from.outside 255.255.255.255 outside

I really need some help...

Thanks and Bests Regards.

Hugo,

We've experienced the same error on computers updated to the latest JAVA patch:

JAVA 6 Update 10.

The problem does not occur on JAVA 6 Update 7, which we had installed previously.

Could be worth testing on a computer with the older release installed.

Roger Norton.

Hi!

show flash:

Initializing disk0: cache, please wait....Done.

-#- --length-- -----date/time------ path

6 5511168 Jan 01 2003 00:06:38 asa707-k8.bin

7 0 Jul 08 2008 07:27:38 crypto_archive

8 6161700 Jul 08 2008 07:30:28 asdm-507.bin

243679232 bytes available (11747328 bytes used)

I already tried with:

asdm image disk0:/asdm-507.bin

and

asdm image flash:/asdm-507.bin

But I don't think that the problem is there, because I can get the Java application in my Browser. The error appears when I log on and when I hit the refresh button.

Thank you!

Hugo Serrano.

Hi Roger!

Thanks a lot! That was the problem.

I tried with Java build 1.5.0_16-b02 and worked!

Thanks again. Best regards,

Hugo Serrano.
