Hi,
Is there an exhaustive list available on cisco which enlists the types of snmp traps a router, switch and pix sends. The requirement is to identify and set filters on an NMS according to severity of the incident for the customer.
Thanks and Regards,

No, such a list does not exist. The primary reason is that different versions of IOS and different feature sets support different MIBs. The best tool we have is the MIB Locator tool which will tell you which MIBs are compiled in what IOS images. From there, you can go through the MIBs, and find all of the TRAP-TYPE and NOTIFICATION-TYPE objects to build your filter sets.
The MIB Locator can be found at http://www.cisco.con/go/mibs/ .

Hey joe,
Thanks for the same. I guess getting a list of devices present on the network and also the IOS trains running on the network i should be able to prepare the list.
Thanks and Regards,
