A device with the same source MAC-Address is connected to multiple switchports on the switch.
Often, this behavior is seen when configuring teaming/etherchannel at one end of the link w/o configuring the same at the other end of the link.
Based on the switchports listed, it seems you have an etherchannel configured in the swith (Port-channel1) but you've connected the device on Port G2/0/6 instead on the switchports making up Port-Channel1.

Hi
Thanks very much for the quick reply
You mean to say that device should be connected to portchannle 1 or you want me to configure gi2/0/6 as port channel
Thanking you in anticipation

If you check the members of Port-Channel1 with the command show ether sum can you see if the port-channel is up?
Care to share the output here?
Did you configure teaming/etherchannel on a device connected to G2/0/6? What kind of device it is?

Looks good, what's connected on 2/0/6, 1/0/9 and 2/0/9?

Hi
In addition to above all thse ports leads to one of DC (6500) catalyst switch.
However I did log onto Core-DC and see that there are some duplicate addresses referenced. If you look at the mac addresses these are associated with the MSFC routers. It would appear to me that there is some problem in the MSFCs. I'm not sure exactly what the issue is at this point. Although the logs are being overwritten I am assuming this has been happening for longer than just today.

It seems those 3 ports were configured as etherchannel in Core DC and they need to be configured as etherchannel on the switch you are seeing the error.
