Input errora at the int

I don't understand where to dig.

I have increased numbers of input errors and same numbers of ignored. Is it problem with cable or another problem?

At the other side of cable ( ASA 5510) there are no errors.

Hello Mike,

here is the definition of ignored

Shows the number of received packets ignored by the

interface because the interface hardware ran low on internal

buffers. These buffers are different from the system buffers

mentioned previously in the buffer description. Broadcast

storms and bursts of noise can cause the ignored count to be

increased.

you can try to increase the input hold-queue to see if they stop to increment

int f4/1

hold-queue 1024 in

However, they are less then 0.1% so they shouldn't cause performance issues

Why do you think i need to increase that queue.

From output

seems 0 drops or i missunderstood it?

There is a chance this is just noice of some protocol not active/not known on this interface.

I found where was problem.

I have service-policy input XXX at that interface.

Errors disappeared after remove that.
