EtherChannel media question.

Can an EtherChannel be formed using different media type ports? I.E. Can I use GigE and GBIC of SFP porrts together in a Port Channel?

Hello Maurice,

this should be possible until all links are set to use the same speed and duplex.

So a suggestion could be that of hardcoding speed 1000 duplex full on electrical ports if they are 10/100/1000.

Probably it is not considered best practice but it should be possible.
