I have a working routing map which stopped taking effect.

Route-map is used under BGP neighbor inbound.

smelling a BUG, I removed it and re applied it then soft cleared no joy.

This route map has worked for over a year !

platform is 7600 / 12.2(18)SXF6

any pointers appreciated.

TIA

Sam

Samir,

Could you post the route-map and explain how it is not working.

Hi Harold

Many thanks for taking time to look at this. Embarassing as it may be, I did not see that one of my colleagues added an extra route-map statment acting as a safety net for what is being rejected by the 1st one.

When thir was done, he did not clear BGP soft inbound...so logs showed no config changes on this specific box for the day the outage kicked in..."Time bomb effect".

I expected a complicated reason with bugs ( CSCsi86386 & CSCsi60240) while the reason was a blunt misconfig.

Many thanks again and apologies for the false alarm !

Samir

PS: I have removed the statement...shame I cannot do the same with my colleague parts.
