this line tells you that your sensor is not licensed:

No license present

your sensor will still run and perform all the normal IPS functions.

You have some older signatures S291 on it. If you upgrade the software to 5.1(8)E3 or 6.0(5)E3 or 6.1(1)E3 or 6.2(1)E3 you can upgrade the signatures to S366 without needing a license. The signatures are contained in the software updates. The software updates may be applied without a license. Only signature updates require a license.

HI rhermes /All

After upgration IPS-4240-K9-sys-1.1-a-5.0-2.img to IPS-4240-K9-sys-1.1-a-6.1-1-E3.img i am getting below message

There is no license key installed on the IPS-4240.

The system will continue to operate with the currently installed

signature set. A valid license must be obtained in order to apply

signature updates. Please go to http://www.cisco.com/go/license

to obtain a new license or install a license.

Its not going to promt mode ?

How can i go to ips configuration mode?

Any steps which are to be done first?
