I assume you mean the 'mode' button on the front of the switch that allows you to cycle though the port status, speed, duplex and PoE? If that's the case it can't be disabled for this function, however you can disable the feature where the switch will reset to defaults if the button is pressed for 10-seconds using the commands 'no setup express'
