CUCM 7 on IBM x346

Hello,

I have been looking for some data sheets on Cisco.com in regards to upgrading a existing CCM 4.2(3) to CUCM 7. Specifically I'm looking to find out if the IBM x346 series server will support CUCM 7.

Anyone know?

I have found this link but it doesn't state if it supports version 7.

Justin

RRR I was so close and missed that doc..... Thanks Rob... ;) This is exactly what I was looking for...

Hi Justin,

You are most welcome! In the 80 Zillion docs here it's hard to find the one you want sometimes.

Cheers!

Hi Rob,

The IBM xSeries 346 that I'm trying to see if supports CUCM 7 is not listed as the server contains a 2.8 ghz intel xeon processor

My server specs:

IBM x346

Intel Xeon 2.8 ghz processor

2 x 70gb HD

2Gb RAM

Any idea's?

Hi Justin,

You do seem to meet the minimum spec's for a CCM 7.0(1) build;

Cisco Unified CM requires a minimum of 2 GB of memory, 72 GB disk drive, and 2 GHz processor.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/7_0_1/cucm-rel_notes-701.html#wp579941

But, I would be hesitant to proceed without verification from TAC that this will be a supported install. You might also want to engage your Cisco SE to do some research here as well.

Hope this helps!

Rob
