Solved: ether channel

Hi, can someone tell me the when I would use leyer 2 instead of layer 3 ether channel configuration. I want to implement ether channel to the servers and I don't know which one would be appropriate. Thanks for your help.

Hi Bart,

If you didn't implement Etherchannel but used a single port configuration, what would you use? A layer2 or a layer3 port?

If you used a layer2 single port, then you could implement a layer2 Etherchannel.

If you used a layer3 single port, then you could implement a layer3 Etherchannel.
