Suddenly I can no longer telnet to asa5510

Answered Question
Nov 21st, 2008

When I try to telnet to the ASA I get a "connection refused by remote host" message. This has been working fine for a year. I've taken out the telnet permission and put it back in, still doensn't work. Has anybody seen this before.

Thanks

David

David,

If the configuration has not changed and you do have telnet enabled for your address, then check out this Bug ID CSCse08133 against the version you are running.

Also, see if the workaround fixes your problem.
