First let me appologize I'm just getting started in voice and studying on my own. I'm setting up a home lab and I'm trying to get outside pstn service thru my 3640 router. I have an fxs port configured with dial-peer pots but not quite sure how i should hook up my fxo port. when I dial my home phone number i see the fxo port card light and it answers after two rings but then i hear another dial tone. I hope my question is coming accross clearly. I would appreciate your patience and any help .thanks

ok, you need 2 things there
1 dial peer to your FXS
2 connection plar configured under the voice port to avoid getting the dial tone and sending the call somewhere
so, if you have a dial-peer with destination pattern 1000, under the FXO voice port config you set a connection plar 1000
