Is there a command to show if a module has been restarted. I'm having a problem with one of my customers system and the staff nor I have a good understanding of how to look to see if the module is having probles. Any help would be greatly apprecitated. TIA

Hi,

Give show logs which will give you information on module restart.

adding to what vishwa said, try to issue the command show module and it will show you the status of each module. we recently had a problem in one of our PoE module and a syslog looks like this:

%C4K_SWITCHMANAGER-4-S2WERRORREPORT

after we did a software reset, syslogs will show you this:

*Oct 27 13:02:57: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-MODULEOFFLINE: Module 5 is offline

*Oct 27 13:02:58: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-MODULEREMOVED: Module 5 is removed

*Oct 27 13:03:02: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-MODULEINSERTED: Module 5 is inserted

*Oct 27 13:03:04: %C4K_IOSMODPORTMAN-6-MODULEONLINE: Module 5 (WS-X4248-RJ45V S/N: JAE1028686W Hw: 3.1) is online

Hi,

You can use this command:

show diagnostic events

After initial booting of the switch you should get an entry every time a module initialises.
