Please, after upgrading a cisco 3660 Router, and reloaded, the Router unit is not coming up again. Can any one kindly help with how to bring up the router?

Many thanks.

You should start the router in rommon (whit key escape sequence)and put the original IOS.

If the router is working correctly after reload with original IOS, then the IOS that you had loaded for upgrade was not accurate.

See Cisco for rommon procedure.

The link that Collin posted is good if the router is booting into rommon. Your post does not supply much detail about what happens when the router attempts to boot. If you would post any messages sent to the console during the boot process it might help us to understand the problem better and to give you better suggestions about how to correct the issue.

Thank you for your prompt responses. When booting, the router stops after displaying the following message:

Smart Init is enabled

smart init is sizing iomem

ID MEMORY_REQ TYPE

0000B3 0X0009FC00 Dual Port Fast Ethernet

00002B 0X00658200 Two port Channelized E1 (120 Ohm - TP)

0X00211000 public particle pools

TOTAL: 0X01B8F540

If any of the above Memory Requirements are

"UNKNOWN", you may be using an unsupported

configuration or there is a software problem and

system operation may be compromised.

Rounded IOMEM up to: 28Mb.

Using 10 percent iomem. [28Mb/256Mb]

Nothing else works after this message.

Thank you for offering to assist.
