CSA errors

Hi,

We have a product that is working fine. Recently we have installed CSA(Cisco Security Agent). It started giving problems on our products. Our product involves communication to mainframe. CSA service is not necessarily should be running,it is just installed on the machine, gives the problems. It closes all communications,kills some process and thus gives exception. There is a dll namely csauser.dll in system32 directory. If we remove/rename this dll, our product works. Any solutions?

I have this problem too.

Do you have CSA MC managing these CSA servers ?? Are there any events on those ? I dont think CSA will act upon applications, if it is disabled, though there can be software bugs on specified versions.. Refer to Cisco.com, for the bug list and see if you hit any caveat !!!

We don't have any CSA MC.We are using test mode version of CSA here.But my worry is why it doesn't work only when CSA is installed no need even to run the service. Just moving csauser.dll from system32 directory will resolve the problem. But don't know how it affect CSA?

Hi,

Yes.There is a CSA MC. There are many events generated.Many events are generated from svchost.exe.

You need to manage the hosts and events from at the CSA MC.

Are the hosts in test mode?

If not, put them there and see if your application runs.

If it does, you'll need to create exceptions for the application.
