Hi,

Is there any way to disable syslogs generated for an asynch interface.

Nov 19 15:31:30.571 UTC: %CIRRUS-5-LINEFLAP: Unit 2 excessive modem control changes

This async interface is connected to a modem and the signal it receives makes the interface go up and down when the server is not connected to the modem, I cannot keep the interface shut or reduce the sys logging level. Is there anyway to stop router generating such logs ???

Thanks and Regards,

This message has specified that the asynchronous interface was determined to have too many automatic control changes in too short a span of time. This may indicate a hardware or software error in the interface. The Recommended Action is to reset the interface. If this message recurs, copy the message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log. Research and attempt to resolve the issue using the tools and utilities provided at http://www.cisco.com/tac
