I've had a 3750 console port failure. When I attached it up to another switch and did a show CDP neigh detail, I also found out it had no ip address configured on it so I couldnt telnet to it. In the end, I joined it to another 3750 via a stacking cable, used a command to copy itt's IOS to the master and used it this way. I could then use the masters console connection.
