Hi all,
I was reading that if users have Workstation Startup Connectivity Delays
we should do PAgP off in user switch side.Is that true?

If you have "workstation startup delays", I'm assuming that you mean you are having a hard time getting dhcp addresses in time? You disable spanning-tree on the port. PAgP is for etherchannel.
int fa0/1
descript workstation 1
spanning-tree portfast
Make sure that you only have a workstation connected to that port because if you have a hub, switch, router, access point, you can cause a loop. End hosts are fine.

Hi blakley,
User tole me that he is having issues when Pc boots up and it takes a while when he sees the message applying network settings
here is user port config
oktulf26s1> (enable) sh port spantree 2/36
Port(s) Vlan Port-State Cost Prio Portfast Channel_id
------------------------ ---- ------------- --------- ---- -------- ----------
2/36 260 forwarding 3100 32 enabled 0
Port fast is enabled on switch port also speed is 100 full hardcoded on switch port and user NIC.

Normally just using portfast is enough . If you want to turn on portfast and turn off channeling and trunking in one command just use the following command on "user" ports , "switchport host" .

Mahesh,
With the "error" that you're describing, this can also be a problem with the workstation itself. Sometimes disjoining/rejoining the domain fixes the problem. If you can, I would move the user to another switchport to see if it follows the computer. If it doesn't, then the problem is the switchport. If it does, then it's a workstation problem.
HTH,
John

Hi,

port fast is enabled.

For catos it would be "set port host slot/port" . Don't see anything out of place in the config you showed.
