Is it possible to set the Call ID name for outbound calls from CCM/CUCM. I've read that the Alerting Name on a device's line specifies the Call ID name, but am looking for clarification.
Obviously, this depends on our carrier passing whatever we send them which they don't typically do for the name but can do for the number up on request. At least in the US.
thanks,
Will

yes, that's correct. just go to the GW config in CUCM and check
"Display IE delivery"
also as you already noted not all Telcos have this capability so best check with them before doing any changes in CUCM

So check "Display IE Delivery" to allow, but where is it set? In the "Alerting Name" on the device lines?

Right. I understand. But where is the actual call id name value set? In the "Alerting Name" field on the phone lines?
thanks,
Will
