CUCM 6.1 CPU UTilisation

I we migrated from the 4.x to 6.1 version and I get this issue happening atleast the second time for me.

My CCM stops responding a dn call processing and shows high CPU 100% utilization neither does it fails over to the secondary server.

help appreciated

You may try restarting the server after upgrading CUCM to 6.x version. CPU spikes on a Cisco CallManager server can be normal depending on what service/application runs at the time. But, sustained CPU spikes are not good and can cause the CallManager service to terminate or issues like delayed dialtone, and so forth.
