I recently upgrade from Cisco CM v4.X to v6.X. I need to update the MAC address of an IP communicator device so the device will register. There is no longer any option to do this. I have edited the "Device Name Field" to the new MAC address with "SEP" in front of it with no success. Can anybody tell me how I can change the MAC address of an IP communicator phone in CM v6.X?
Thanks

Hi,
I dont believe there is so much to this. All you need to do is have the mac with SEP in front of it.
What you need to check is this...
1. ensure the ip communicator is pointing to the right tfft server
2. ensure you have selected the right network interface on the ip communicator

I have checked all those things and still no luck. I will have to delete and recreate it I guess.
