Is it possible to change the description field within the CM-SQL db programmatically to all phones within my cluster?
I know this can probably be done thru BAT, but I was asked to make an inquiry. Has anyone done this before?
I am asking because I have another db that pulls data from CM-SQL description field to populate tables within another db.
I think I know the answer to this question, but does TAC support this type of questionable activities?
Finally, is there any Consultant Groups that specialize in the type of programming work?
All Windows environment: Call Manager 4.1(3)sr3a with Unity 5.0(1.0) and Exchange 2003.
Sincerely, Tom

it is doable, but we do not support any kind of changes made directly in the DB
we do change stuff in the DB but to fix something, and this needs to be done either by the CSE himself or with a set of instructions provided by the CSE
HTH
java

Hi Tom,
You can use AXL SOAP instead, and use updatePhone.
I know where you can buy a tool to do bulk AXL changes,
email me for details saschamonteiro@hotmail.com
