Hi,
One of my ACE blades has spontaenously rebooted twice overnight. Looking at the "show ver" from the admin context I get:
Software
loader: Version 12.2[120]
system: Version A2(1.2) [build 3.0(0)A2(1.2) adbuild_05:24:18-2008/09/04_/a
uto/adbu-rel3/rel_a2_1_2_throttle/REL_3_0_0_A2_1_2]
system image file: [LCP] disk0:c6ace-t1k9-mz.A2_1_2.bin
installed license: ACE-VIRT-020 ACE-SSL-05K-K9
Hardware
Cisco ACE (slot: 7)
cpu info:
number of cpu(s): 2
cpu type: SiByte
cpu: 0, model: SiByte SB1 V0.2, speed: 700 MHz
cpu: 1, model: SiByte SB1 V0.2, speed: 700 MHz
memory info:
total: 956104 kB, free: 281780 kB
shared: 0 kB, buffers: 1972 kB, cached 0 kB
cf info:
filesystem: /dev/cf
total: 1000512 kB, used: 421696 kB, available: 578816 kB
last boot reason: Service "pktcap"
configuration register: 0x1
ace2 kernel uptime is 0 days 3 hours 12 minute(s) 21 second(s)
What does service pktcap mean? Is this a known caveat?
Thank you
Cathy

This problem happens during high volume http traffic and logging enabled with high sev of 5 and above enabled in the system. The problem is observed only only FT configuration.
To resolve this issue Lowering the logging severity to 4 , it will help you.

Thank you. It makes sense as that ACE blade is running a context that front-ends our web proxy appliance and we do have an FT configuration.
Is this likely to be fixed in a future release?
Kind Regards
Cathy
