Thanks..

It doesn't cover exactly what you're talking about but may give a little more insight.

Basically, if an exam is retired, in most cases if you meet the original Certification requirements within a 3 year window, then you should be able to get your certification.

It appears to me that 642-524 has replaced the 642-523 so there should not be a problem for that course substituting the new one....

You will not need to take the 642-524 SNAF test. If you login to the certification tracking system, you will see that both tests (SNPA and SNAF) fulfill the same requirement. I recently completed the CCSP using SNPA to fulfill that particular requirement. The particular combo of tests that I took was 640-553 IINS, 642-523 SNPA, 642-503 SNRS, 642-515 SNAA, and 642-533 IPS.

Good luck!

1000/1000, impressive. Unless you used brain dumps, of course...

i Friend,

I have finished my four exams of CCSP, one is pending and I am confused about that. Here are the details.

642-552 SND Finished

642-503 SNRS Finished

642-523 SNPA Finished

642-533 IPS Finished

Now I want to finish my last paper, and I am interested in 642-515 SNAA. Will I get my CCSP certificate if I complete this paper, If not then what are the options for me.

Hi Rameshwar,

You are right on track my friend :) If you also have a valid CCNA then, yes, the SNAA will complete your CCSP Cert.

Candidates for CCSP will now need only four exams (three required, one elective) with the introduction of the new CCNA Security as a prerequisite, instead of the five exams required today (four required, one elective). ** Retired exams that have been passed may be used towards exam requirements for three years.
