trying to convert sip phone back to sccp:

in following the instructions in cisco document 'Converting a Cisco 7940/7960 CallManager Phone to a SIP Phone and the

Reverse Process' it says:

'If your current SIP image is 4.x or earlier, complete these steps in

order to convert to the desired SCCP images 5.x or earlier:

1.. Run the executable file in order to install the SCCP software.'

so I tried to run cmterm-7940-7960-sccp.8-0-1.exe and I got a box saying:

'DBConnection0 registry not found. Setup will not continue.'

I did a search on google and read that this exe would not run on a PC. This is confusing. If it won't run on a PC, what is one supposed to do with it? Thanks for any help.

you're supposed to run in on the CCM server since it's going to modify a couple of things in the DB

if you read the README it will tell you to install on the server
