I know this shouldnt be that confusing. I have already completed the QOS CIPT1 and the CVOICE exams. I am now working on CIPT2. The big question is that when I completed the CVOICE it was the 642-432 exam. The Certification Track now shows 642-436. Does this mean I have to go back and retake the 642-436 CVOICE exam?
My understanding is that exams are valid for 3 years toward a certification. And although the exam number is retired, the topic (CVOICE) is the same requirement for the CCVP and is therefor still valid.
If CVOICE was no longer a requirement then there may be some concern, but I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as the CCVP courses are the same (and that you complete it within 3 years).
HOWEVER: be advised that you must complete all exams before June 24, 2009 else you will need to obtain the CCNA Voice in order to meeting the CCNA pre-req for the test.
EDIT: A similar post on the Cisco Learning Network was answered by a moderator with basically what I said here. https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.com/thread/3094;jsessionid=6A434F252DE4791F5E5D22C10B7B0928
