6500-CATSwitch-Unable to add syslog{Urgent}

Hi All

I am trying to delete on syslog server(20.1.128.105) and add new syslog server(20.1.36.144)

the problem is whenei give show config i see still the same oldsyslog server 20.1.128.105 unable to find new one

can u suggest me where is the worng

Hi,

Are you trying to delete 20.1.128.105 or 20.1.129.105 , Im sure is typo?

from the log you posted seems 20.1.129.105 has been removed , and 20.1.36.144 has been added.

from that switch can you post the output of show config | inc logging

set logging server enable

set logging server 20.1.129.105

set logging server 20.1.129.111

set logging server 20.1.128.228

set logging level gl2pt 2 default

set logging level diag 2 default

what version of catos are you running?

Hey i am able to see the configured syslog server by using below commands

DC-6513-2> (enable) sh logging noalias

Trace logging: disabled

Logging buffer size: 500

timestamp option: enabled

Logging history:

size: 1

severity: warnings(4)

Logging console: enabled

Logging telnet: enabled

Logging server: enabled

{20.1.36.144, 20.1.36.143, 20.1.128.228}

server facility: LOCAL4

server severity: information(6)

Current Logging Session: enabled

Callhome Functionality: disabled

Callhome Severity: LOG_CRIT(2)

I think it could be problem with IOS , but the IOS with lesserver version dont have this problme
